Ignite Recruitment is seeking a reliable and experienced Non-PCV Driver to transport vulnerable adults safely and comfortably to and from designated locations across the borough. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating accessible 16-seater minibuses and providing a professional, caring, and supportive service to passengers, including those with mobility needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport vulnerable adults using accessible 16-seater minibuses.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking where required.
- Operate vehicle tail lifts safely to support wheelchair users.
- Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
- Ensure passengers travel in a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment.
- Follow all road traffic regulations and Council policies and procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Clean D1 Driving Licence.
- Experience driving vehicles with up to 16 passenger seats.
- Good driving and accident record.
- Recent and relevant passenger transport driving experience.
- Knowledge of the London Borough of Enfield and surrounding road network.
- Experience operating accessible vehicle tail lifts and assisting wheelchair users.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work with vulnerable adults in a caring and professional manner.
Compliance Requirements
- Enhanced DBS check required.
- Ability to provide satisfactory references covering the last 3 years.
- Right to work in the UK.
Working Hours
- Start times from 8:00am.
