What are we looking for?
- Experience in Product Design, UX Design, Service Design or Digital Experience Design
- Strong understanding of user‑centred design principles
- Experience designing digital products, platforms or internal systems
- Ability to simplify complex workflows and user journeys
- Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design
- Experience creating wireframes, prototypes and user flows
- Familiarity with tools such as Figma
Desirable:
- Experience designing HR, volunteer management, CRM or community platforms
- Experience with accessibility standards ("WCAG")
- Experience designing gamification, engagement or recognition systems
We are looking for someone who can commit regular time to the role. We work flexibly and understand that availability can vary from week to week, but overall, you should have regular time available to volunteer.

What will you be doing?
Ignite Hubs is developing an innovative Ignite Portal, a hybrid between a HR and Volunteer Management System designed to support the lifecycle of our people such as volunteers, mentors, tutors and alumni. The platform will help us recruit, onboard, engage, organise and retain the people who make our work possible.
We are currently in the early design and development phase and are looking for an experienced Product Designer with UX and accessibility experience to help shape the platform from the outset. This is an opportunity to influence the design of a product that will become the central hub for managing and engaging our team members. You will work closely with the Founder and developers to help translate ideas and requirements into intuitive, accessible and engaging user experiences.
The platform will include features such as:
- Volunteer, tutor, mentor and staff profiles
- Recruitment and onboarding workflows
- DBS and safeguarding compliance tracking
- Volunteer hours tracking and reporting
- Instructor scheduling and attendance management
- Opportunity listings and applications
- Recognition, badges and volunteer engagement features
