- Can work confidently with at least one common language used for manipulating data (e.g., Python, R) and is familiar with LLM libraries (e.g., langchain).
- Has some understanding of generative AI technologies in terms of training and fineâtuning language models and regarding good Prompt Engineering.
- Has used machine learning to solve real problems for clients or stakeholders.
It would be great but not essential if you had:

- Confidence when speaking, able to share your knowledge and skills with colleagues and perhaps even larger audiences.
On a personal level, our data scientist will need to show a solution-focused and logical approach to technical challenges; someone who can define an approach from gathered requirements, and then go on to articulate and execute the vision. Youâll need an independent, proâactive, and confident approach to managing projectâbased work and be comfortable navigating competing priorities, resolving ambiguity and managing demanding expectations under pressure. This data scientist job will require excellent stakeholder management skills and youâll need the ability to communicate tricky concepts to both technical and nonâtechnical stakeholders.
Our client prizes diversity and has a culture that thrives on creating a positive impact. This means youâll be driven to be part of a diverse and inclusive team; so, youâll need great interpersonal skills and have the ability to relate to individuals at all levels.
