An experienced Finance Business Analyst is required to join a dynamic team at the forefront of digital transformation and modern workplace initiatives within a leading international legal firm. We are seeking an experienced Finance Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in a Digitalisation Programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse business processes, operational, and financial data for optimization opportunities.
- Undertake discovery and analysis of current state ("as is") and pain points, contributing to the definition of the future state ("to be") in People, Processes, Technology, and Data (PPTD).
- Engage in financial and operational data analysis, leading workshops with stakeholders to elicit requirements.
- Collaborate with the finance department and key stakeholders to shape and deliver required outputs.
- Triage business ideas, identify Early Value Realisations (EVRs), and make recommendations on next steps.
- Conduct research with stakeholders to solve business problems and maintain supporting materials for transition to desired outcomes.
- Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and recommendations using data visualization tools.
Contribution to Solutions:
- Document requirements clearly for implementation teams.
- Collaborate with the program team, project managers, and analysts to ensure high-quality product and service delivery.
- Support testing activities, defining acceptance criteria, and contributing to User Acceptance Testing.
- Undertake change impact analysis for change management activities.
Experience and Skills:
- Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a business and financial analyst, preferably within the legal sector.
- Knowledge of financial concepts, principles, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, SQL, Power BI, and other data analysis and reporting tools.
- Effective communicator with stakeholders of various seniority and technical competency.
- Strong facilitation, active listening, and presentation skills, including workshop experience.
- Experience in projects involving the selection and/or implementation of business applications.
- Familiarity with tools and techniques for problem-solving, solution formulation, and risk tracking (e.g., LeanIX).
- Experience in business change activities, such as change impact analysis.
- (Desirable) Professional services experience.
