Location: Bath with hybrid working 2 days per week ideally

Contract Length: 12 months

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a transformation team as part of a wide-reaching programme of change that includes a platform upgrade and migration project. As a key member of the transformation team, you will play a pivotal role in gathering requirements, analyzing solutions, and ensuring business and external readiness for various projects within the programme. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirement Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders across the business and external partners to gather, document, and validate detailed business and technical requirements.
  • Solution Analysis: Collaborate with technology teams and third-party vendors to assess proposed solutions, ensuring they meet business needs and align with strategic goals.
  • Process Mapping: Develop clear and comprehensive process maps to support understanding, communication, and execution of project activities.
  • Business Readiness: Create and deliver business readiness materials, including training guides, communication plans, and impact assessments, to ensure smooth implementation of changes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a key liaison between business units, technology teams, and third-party vendors.
  • Acceptance Testing Support: Assist in defining acceptance criteria and supporting the business during testing phases to validate solutions meet requirements.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the wealth management or financial services industry and experience of working on platform migration or upgrade projects.
  • Expertise in requirement gathering, process mapping, and business analysis techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear and actionable deliverables.
  • Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall project environments.
  • A track record of working on transformation programmes involving multiple stakeholders and external vendors.

Desirable Skills:

  • Strong understanding of GBST Composer or similar wealth management platforms (FNZ, Bravura, etc).
  • Familiarity with infrastructure upgrades, front-end development, and system integration projects.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the wealth management sector.
  • Proficiency with business analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., Visio, Jira, Confluence).
