The practice has a strong and growing portfolio of justice and public-sector projects, including prisons, courts and other secure/public buildings. Much of their current workload involves refurbishment, fire safety, compliance and technical improvement works within live environments, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys technically challenging projects with real-world constraints.
The successful candidate will take ownership of projects through the later RIBA stages, with a particular focus on RIBA Stages 3, 4 and 5, overseeing technical delivery and working with a high degree of autonomy.
You will be involved in the technical delivery of a range of justice-sector projects, from refurbishment and compliance works through to larger-scale improvement programmes. You will be expected to take ownership of projects, manage technical information and coordinate with clients, consultants and contractors to ensure projects are delivered effectively and to the required standards.
- Taking responsibility for the technical delivery of projects across RIBA Stages 3β5.
- Producing and reviewing technical drawings, specifications and project information.
- Working across refurbishment, fire safety and compliance-led projects.
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders.
- Working within live public-sector environments, where careful planning, compliance and communication are essential.
- Taking ownership of project packages and, where appropriate, running projects with a high level of autonomy.
- Supporting projects through construction and responding to technical queries as they arise.
We are looking for an experienced Architectural Technologist with strong technical delivery skills and a proven ability to take ownership of projects.
- Strong experience delivering projects through RIBA Stages 3, 4 and 5.
- Strong Revit skills.
- Experience working on refurbishment, retrofit, compliance or technically complex projects.
- The ability to coordinate projects and work confidently with consultants and contractors.
- A good understanding of UK Building Regulations and relevant technical standards.
- The confidence to work autonomously and take ownership of your projects.
