Part 2 / Part 3 Architect – Elderly Living & Care Location: Kingston upon Thames (Greater London) Sector: Elderly Living / Care Position: Part 2 Architectural Assistant / Part 3 Architect Software: Revit An established and growing architectural practice is expanding its Greater London office and is looking for either an experienced Part 2 Architectural Assistant or recently qualified Part 3 Architect to join the team. The practice has a strong reputation within the elderly living and care sector, delivering thoughtful, high-quality environments that respond to the needs of residents, operators and communities. This is an excellent opportunity for an architecturally minded candidate who enjoys being involved in projects from the early design and planning stages, with the opportunity to develop their experience within a specialist and growing sector. The Role You will work closely with senior members of the team across a range of elderly living and care projects, contributing to projects from early concept through planning and into later stages. Your responsibilities will include: * Developing early-stage design concepts and architectural proposals * Producing drawings and presentations for planning submissions * Assisting with planning applications and design development * Developing layouts, elevations, sections and details * Working collaboratively with clients, consultants and the wider design team * Developing designs in accordance with relevant planning requirements and regulations * Producing and coordinating drawings using Revit * Supporting projects through the various RIBA stages * Contributing to the overall design quality and development of projects About You The ideal candidate will be either an experienced Part 2 Architectural Assistant or Part 3 Architect with: * Previous experience within an architectural practice * Strong early design and planning-stage experience * Excellent design and presentation skills * Proficiency in Revit – essential * Good knowledge of the UK planning process * Understanding of relevant UK Building Regulations * Strong communication and organisational skills * The ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit team * An interest in, or ideally some experience of, elderly living, care, healthcare or residential projects The Opportunity This is a great opportunity to join a growing specialist practice where you will have genuine exposure to projects and be able to develop your career within the elderly living and care sector.
