We are working with a growing domiciliary care provider in Swindon that needs an experienced Deputy Manager to help take control of the day to day running of the branch.
This role would suit an established Deputy Manager, Field Care Supervisor, Senior Care Coordinator or Care Manager who understands home care properly and is confident working across the office, the field and the wider professional network.
You will work closely with the Registered Manager and Care Coordinator, helping ensure staff are supported, clients receive safe and consistent care and the branch remains compliant with CQC standards.
The Role
You will be responsible for
- Completing new client assessments
- Creating and reviewing care plans and risk assessments
- Managing safeguarding concerns and complaints
- Visiting clients and carrying out service reviews
- Completing spot checks, supervisions and staff observations
- Supporting staff performance and development
- Monitoring compliance, audits and care records
- Liaising with families, social workers, local authorities and healthcare professionals
- Supporting the Care Coordinator with rotas and care packages
- Ensuring incidents, concerns and changes in need are acted on quickly
- Supporting the Registered Manager with the overall running of the branch
- Taking part in the on call rota where required
- What We Are Looking For
You must have
- Experience working within domiciliary care or home care
- Experience completing client assessments and care plans
- Strong safeguarding and compliance knowledge
- Experience supervising care staff
- Confidence dealing with complaints, incidents and staff concerns
- A good understanding of CQC expectations
- Strong communication and organisation skills
- The ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- The ability to commute to Swindon
