Ignis Solutions is recruiting on behalf of an established domiciliary care provider in North London. This is a strong opportunity for a hands-on Registered Manager, Deputy Manager or experienced Care Manager who understands real domiciliary care: carers, rotas, care planning, safeguarding, quality, families, local authority packages and the pressure of keeping a service stable day to day. The provider is owner-led, clinically experienced and ambitious. The service is already active, but the Director is looking for someone who can take genuine operational ownership, strengthen structure, support the care team and help the business grow without everything sitting with the owner. This is not a corporate role; it needs someone practical, calm, organised and accountable.

The Role

You will support the day-to-day management of a domiciliary care service, ensuring safe, compliant and person-centred care delivery. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing care delivery across domiciliary and community-based packages
  • Supporting carers, coordinators and field staff
  • Completing and reviewing care plans, risk assessments and service user reviews
  • Managing safeguarding concerns, complaints, incidents and medication issues properly from start to finish
  • Supporting rota stability, on-call arrangements, missed calls, cover gaps and daily operational pressure
  • Carrying out assessments, spot checks, supervisions and quality monitoring
  • Maintaining CQC compliance and strong audit trails
  • Building trust with service users, families, staff and external professionals
  • Helping the Director create more structure across the service
  • Supporting service growth, new packages and long-term business development

The Person

We are looking for someone who has strong experience in domiciliary care, home care, reablement, extra care, supported living or community care. You do not need to be perfect on paper, but you must be reliable, hands-on and able to follow things through properly. You should be able to show:

  • Experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, Care Manager, Branch Manager, Care Coordinator or Field Care Supervisor
  • Strong understanding of domiciliary care operations
  • Confidence with care planning, risk assessments, safeguarding and quality assurance
  • Experience supporting carers and managing day-to-day service issues
  • Ability to deal with pressure calmly and professionally
  • A genuine interest in helping an owner-led provider grow
  • Strong communication with staff, families, professionals and service users
  • Willingness to be visible in the field when needed
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred

This role may suit someone who is already a Registered Manager and wants a new challenge, or a strong Deputy / Care Manager who is ready to step up with the right support.

Package

  • £42,000 to £45,000 basic salary
  • Progression and review potential linked to performance, stability and service growth
  • Opportunity to work closely with an experienced Director
  • Scope to shape the service rather than simply maintain it
  • North London / Enfield-based role
  • Long-term opportunity for someone who wants ownership, not just a title

What The Client Needs

The client is looking for someone who can become a trusted right hand within the business. The right person will be caring, structured, commercially aware and strong enough to take responsibility without needing everything handed back to the Director. If you understand domiciliary care and want a role where your work genuinely impacts the growth and stability of a provider, this is worth a conversation. To apply, send your CV to Ignis Solutions or contact us directly for a confidential discussion.
