About IGNI
IGNI, located in the heart of Mayfair, is the evolution of fire‑led dining. Led by Executive Chef Theo Clench and General Manager Gaelle Dubios, IGNI delivers an intimate and ambitious dining experience centred entirely around wood‑fired cooking. Although we are a new restaurant and have not yet achieved a Michelin star, our standards, ambition and attention to detail are firmly rooted in the Michelin dining environment. We are a small, close‑knit team where everyone plays an important role. We work as one, support one another and share responsibility for creating an exceptional experience for every guest.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Restaurant Supervisor who is ready to take the next step in their hospitality career. This role is ideal for someone who wants to develop into an Assistant Restaurant Manager within the coming months, subject to performance, readiness and business needs. You will work closely with our General Manager, gaining hands‑on experience in leadership, team development, service standards and the day‑to‑day management of the restaurant. We are looking for someone who genuinely loves hospitality, takes responsibility and feels excited by the opportunity to help shape a growing restaurant.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Supervisor, Head Waiter or Senior Waiter within a fine‑dining or high‑end restaurant
- A genuine love of hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
- A strong understanding of refined, detail‑focused service
- Ambition to progress into an Assistant Restaurant Manager position
- A responsible and dependable approach, with the confidence to take ownership
- Warm, polished and professional communication
- The ability to remain calm, organised and positive during demanding services
- A collaborative mindset and a desire to be part of a small team that works as one
- An interest in food, wine and the standards associated with Michelin‑level dining
- A commitment to learning, improving and helping others develop
Key Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager and wider leadership team in delivering smooth and exceptional services
- Lead by example on the restaurant floor, maintaining IGNI's standards at every stage of the guest journey
- Supervise and support the team before, during and after service
- Take ownership of a section while maintaining awareness of the wider restaurant
- Build genuine relationships with guests and confidently handle requests and feedback
- Maintain excellent knowledge of the menu, ingredients, wine and the IGNI concept
- Coordinate closely with the kitchen and front‑of‑house teams to ensure timing, communication and consistency
- Help train, coach and motivate junior team members
- Support opening and closing procedures and other operational responsibilities
- Identify opportunities to improve service and take responsibility for following through
- Contribute positively to a culture built on trust, accountability, excellence and teamwork
