Igne is seeking a Project Engineering Geologist to join the Ground Investigation (GI) Division in Hamilton or Aberdeen. This is a fulltime, permanent position that will require travel. This role offers a mix of site and office based work and provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to the delivery of a diverse portfolio of ground investigation and geotechnical projects across Scotland.
You will be responsible for managing large, complex ground investigation projects and writing first class interpretative reports.
- Assist with planning and preparation of GI’s
- Manage and act as part of a team on small to large scale GI’s ensuring compliance with specification and contractual documents
- Manage project data including AGS, laboratory schedules, logs etc.
- Writing factual reports and assistance in interpretive report writing
- Preparation of risk assessments and method statements
A degree in Engineering, Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or a closely related discipline is essential.
Knowledge of geotechnical investigation techniques, soil mechanics and geology.
Experience running small and medium ground investigation projects from Contract Award to completion.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
Salary, £competitive depending on experience.
