We're looking for a Logging Engineer to join our Specialist Drilling team at Igne. This is a hands-on, outdoor role that will take you to drilling sites across the country, operating specialist wireline logging equipment, acquiring high-quality borehole geophysics data, and working alongside geotechnical engineers and drillers on varied and interesting projects. The role requires UK wide travel and is an excellent career opportunity to join a growing and expanding team.
What you'll be doing:
- Operating wireline logging equipment from our specialist vehicle
- Monitoring real-time data acquisition for accuracy and quality
- Carrying out equipment checks, calibrations, and on-site troubleshooting
- Maintaining field logs, job reports, and data records
- Collaborating with site teams to meet project objectives
- Following HSE procedures and supporting equipment maintenance and mobilisation
What we're looking for:
- Basic understanding of geotechnical drilling operations - preferred
- Mechanical and electrical competence with strong troubleshooting ability
- Clear communication and good IT skills (Microsoft Office)
- High attention to detail and commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions, independently and with clients
- Willingness to travel and work flexible or extended hours
- Full UK driving license
