Igne are looking for a reliable and motivated Sample Store Assistant to join our team in Hamilton.

This is a hands‑on role suited to a team player with a strong work ethic, who is keen to support the smooth day‑to‑day operations of our sample store.

You will play a key role in ensuring samples are received, logged, stored, and dispatched accurately, while maintaining a clean and organised working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and check incoming samples from site
  • Accurately log and record all samples to ensure traceability
  • Store samples safely, ensuring correct labelling and organisation
  • Prepare and package samples for laboratory testing
  • Coordinate dispatch of samples via courier or direct delivery
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the sample store
  • Support stock control of consumables (e. g. bags, containers, labels, core boxes)
  • Assist with disposal of samples in line with procedures
  • Collect samples from site when required
  • Adhere to all company Health & Safety requirements

About You

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong awareness of Health & Safety practices
  • Reliable, organised and able to work as part of a team
