Igne is seeking a Project Engineering Geologist to join the Ground Investigation (GI) Division in Hamilton. This is a full-time, permanent position that will require travel. This role offers a mix of site and office based work and provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to the delivery of a diverse portfolio of ground investigation and geotechnical projects across Scotland. You will be responsible for managing large, complex ground investigation projects and writing first class interpretative reports.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with planning and preparation of GI’s
- Manage and act as part of a team on small to large scale GI’s ensuring compliance with specification and contractual documents
- Soil and rock core logging in compliance with BS5930 / Eurocode 7
- Manage project data including AGS, laboratory schedules, logs etc. to client requirements
- Writing factual reports and assistance in interpretive report writing
- Preparation of risk assessments and method statements
Person Specification:
- A degree in Engineering, Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or a closely related discipline is essential.
- Knowledge of geotechnical investigation techniques, soil mechanics and geology
- Experience running small and medium ground investigation projects from Contract Award to completion
- Extensive experience producing factual reports to a high standard within timescales allowed
- Ability to manage time effectively to ensure timeous client communication and deadlines are met
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites
