DTS Raeburn Ltd, part of the Igne group of companies, is an established provider of geotechnical and environmental engineering services across the UK. The company currently provides a wide range of services to residential, retail and commercial property developers, estate owners and funders, manufacturers and industrial process operators, civil/structural engineers, local authorities and regulatory agencies who rely on its expertise in geotechnical engineering, ground contamination appraisal, remediation services, environmental due diligence, auditing and other related services.
We are looking to recruit a Geotechnical / Geo-environmental Engineer to join our busy team, which includes civil/geotechnical engineers, environmental scientists and geologists. This role is a full-time role (37.5 hours), working in our Warrington office, with travel across the UK to undertake site work. Applications from recent graduates will also be considered.
The role is suitably varied depending on base skills and involves undertaking environmental due diligence reviews, various aspects of ground engineering including preliminary risk assessments, ground investigations, geotechnical assessments, ground contamination appraisals, remedial options appraisals, remediation strategies and associated validation works. There will be ample scope for the successful candidates to learn new skills to further their career. The company is committed to the professional development of all of its staff and offers in-house and external training leading to professional qualifications.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor or Masters’ degree in a related subject (Geotechnical Engineering, Geology/Hydrogeology and Environmental Science or related discipline)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and reporting abilities
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Full driving licence (travel is required)
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge and practical experience of ground investigation and laboratory testing techniques, including logging of soil and rock core samples to relevant British Standards and Eurocodes
