Igne is looking for a motivated and ambitious Regional QHSE Coordinator to join our growing QHSE team in Chester‑le‑Street. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) management. This role will support the Group QHSE Manager and wider QHSE function, helping to maintain and improve compliance across our operational business units. It is a developmental position offering hands‑on experience, with a clear progression pathway towards a Regional QHSE Manager role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery and maintenance of QHSE compliance across all operational areas in line with company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
  • Assist in the coordination and continual improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring alignment with ISO standards and industry best practice.
  • Provide support for internal and external audits, including documentation preparation, tracking actions, and ensuring corrective measures are completed.
  • Monitor and report QHSE performance, including KPIs, incidents, near misses, and RIDDOR events, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Work with operational teams to maintain compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and industry accreditations.
  • Assist with PQQ submissions and the maintenance of accreditations.
  • Support the development and delivery of QHSE communications, briefings, and training materials.
  • Assist in incident and non‑conformance investigations, including data gathering, reporting, and action tracking.
  • Attend site visits, audits, and review meetings to gain practical experience across the business.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant QHSE records and documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QHSE function.

About You

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum).
  • Technical membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH) or working towards.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to a range of audiences.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills to promote safety and environmental standards.
  • Ability to analyse complex data and present findings in a simple, accurate format.
  • High attention to detail with a flexible and inquisitive approach to work.
