Igne is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join the Construction Materials Testing team in Bristol. We test ground and soil samples with the very latest technology to support our construction sector clients to find cost-effective solutions for their building projects. Consideration will be given to experienced laboratory technicians who have operated in a similar role. You will need a willingness to learn, to be happy getting your hands dirty and be able to move samples that can weigh in excess of 15kg. In return, we will provide a full-time job with excellent rates of pay and overtime (both in the week and over the weekend), and the opportunity to work in an exciting and growing sector along with excellent career opportunities. Key Responsibilities:
- Testing various construction materials e.g., soils, aggregates, concrete and asphalt
- Completion of test sheets and data entry onto tablets
- Liaise with senior members of staff on work schedules and testing procedures
- Work within in-house quality assurance systems
- Maintain high levels of health and safety in line with company policies

- GCSE Maths and English or equivalent

- Manual handling and physical activity are daily requirements – samples can weigh in excess of 15kg
- You must be confident to work in a team environment
