Igne are seeking to appoint a Geotechnical Engineer / Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join the successful and expanding Ground Investigation Division (GI England) based from Warrington . You will be responsible for managing large complex ground investigation projects and have the expertise to write first class interpretative reports. Key responsibilities
- Collect, validate, and log subsurface data, including borehole logs, sampling records, and geophysical survey outputs.
- Perform geological interpretation of site data to develop factual logs and initial ground models.
- Contribute to technical reporting, preparing factual geotechnical logs, laboratory data summaries, and interpretative narratives.
- Maintain project schedules and resource allocations in collaboration with the Geotechnical Co-ordinator.
- Support tender preparation by providing scope input, cost estimates, and technical write- ups.
- Monitor specialist equipment usage and report any maintenance or calibration requirements.
- Oversee and manage ground investigation projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Masters’ degree in a related subject (Geotechnical Engineering, Geology and Environmental Science or related discipline)
- Previous experience in contract management of ground investigation projects
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and reporting abilities
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Full driving licence (travel is required)
