Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Transport Recruitment Consultant to join our team based in Market Harborough. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with recruitment experience who is looking to take ownership of a specialist desk and play a key role in growing our transport division.

You will be responsible for recruiting a wide range of transport professionals, including HGV Class 1 & Class 2 Drivers, Transport Planners, Transport Coordinators, Transport Administrators and other logistics personnel. Alongside managing the recruitment process, you will also be expected to develop new business opportunities and strengthen existing client relationships to help expand the department.

The Role:

  • Managing the full recruitment process from taking a booking through to candidate placement
  • Sourcing candidates using job boards, social media, referrals and internal databases
  • Screening, interviewing and assessing candidates for suitability
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with both clients and candidates
  • Coordinating interviews, inductions and candidate starts
  • Developing new business through telephone, email and face-to-face sales activities
  • Growing existing client accounts and identifying further recruitment opportunities
  • Conducting client visits and attending meetings where required
  • Managing compliance and candidate documentation
  • Maintaining accurate records using the company's CRM and recruitment systems
  • Supporting the continued growth and success of the transport division

The Person:

  • Previous experience as a Recruitment Consultant is essential
  • Experience recruiting within the transport or logistics sector would be highly advantageous
  • A proven ability to develop new business and build lasting client relationships
  • Commercially minded with a proactive approach to sales and business development
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple vacancies simultaneously
  • A positive, driven and self-motivated attitude
  • Confident using Microsoft Office applications and recruitment systems
  • Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences
