We’re currently recruiting an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy automotive operation in Tilbury. This role would suit a skilled and professional technician with strong attention to detail and a passion for high-quality workmanship.
The Role:
As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of mechanical tasks, including routine servicing, fault diagnosis, repairs, and inspections. You’ll also complete pre-delivery inspections, warranty work, and vehicle recalls as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete servicing, repairs, and maintenance work to manufacturer standards.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
- Perform PDIs and recall work efficiently and accurately.
- Complete all documentation in line with company and warranty requirements.
- Ensure all vehicles are protected and handled with care in the workshop.
- Maintain a clean and organised work bay and ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- Report any additional work or required parts before proceeding.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (City & Guilds, IMI or NVQ).
- IMI Level 3 Electric Vehicle Qualification (preferred but not essential).
- Full UK Driving Licence (maximum 6 points for minor offences).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
