The Role
As a Panel Beater, you will be responsible for repairing and replacing damaged vehicle body panels to a high standard, following job cards and repair instructions. This role may also involve chassis and structural repairs, working within a professional bodyshop environment where quality, safety, and efficiency are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair or replace damaged panels in line with job cards and repair methods
- Carry out panel repairs using jigs, fixtures, welding equipment, and hand tools in line with your level of qualification
- Undertake chassis and framework repairs where required
- Follow manufacturer repair methods, technical literature, and modification bulletins
- Attend training courses where necessary to stay up to date with new repair techniques and product developments
- Handle vehicles, tools, and equipment with care, maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Adhere to all housekeeping, health and safety, and workshop procedures at all times
- Support the wider bodyshop team to ensure production targets and quality standards are achieved
Experience & Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Panel Beater
- ATA accreditation preferred but not essential
- Strong knowledge of body repair techniques and vehicle structures
- Ability to work accurately from job cards and repair instructions
- High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- A professional, safety-conscious approach to work
