We are recruiting an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor to join our client’s established bodyshop operation in Nottingham. This is a permanent opportunity offering a strong basic salary, bonus potential, and long-term career progression within a professional automotive repair environment.
The Role
As a Vehicle Damage Assessor, you will be responsible for producing accurate repair estimates in line with insurer and customer requirements, ensuring repairs are carried out efficiently, compliantly, and profitably.
Key responsibilities include:
- Producing manual and computerised vehicle repair estimates
- Ensuring estimates meet insurer and customer standards
- Ordering and checking parts for accuracy and suitability
- Managing estimate authorisations and following up on any unauthorised work
- Liaising with bodyshop teams to communicate repair methods and job requirements
- Identifying total loss vehicles where applicable
- Maintaining accurate records and estimate documentation
- Working in line with health and safety standards at all times
The Person
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a bodyshop environment
- IMI accreditation preferred
- Familiarity with Audatex and Autoflow (desirable)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident communicator, able to liaise with insurers and workshop teams
- Ability to manage workload efficiently and meet deadlines
