We are looking for an experienced HGV Trailer Technician to join our client's large automotive repair business in Long Bennington. You'll be working within a well-equipped bodyshop, carrying out strip, refit and diagnostic work on a variety of LCVs and HGVs.

The Role:

  • Carrying out mechanical and maintenance work on trucks and trailers & LCVs
  • Performing routine truck and trailer servicing, including six-weekly inspections and rectifications
  • Preparing vehicles for MOT inspections and completing any necessary rectifications prior to presentation
  • Conducting strip and refit work for replacement panels such as bumpers, doors, and other components
  • Performing mechanical, electrical, and trim repairs or replacements on HGVs and trailers
  • Using modern tools, equipment, and technology to deliver high-quality and consistent work
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional working environment
  • Supporting the workshop team to maintain organised and efficient workflow

The Person:

  • Background in a bodyshop or commercial vehicle repair setting
  • Confident working on both LCV and HGV vehicles
  • Experience with six-weekly inspections, rectifications, and MOT preparation
  • Skilled in strip and refit work, including mechanical, electrical, and trim components for HGVs and trailers
  • ATA accreditation (or working towards it) is advantageous
  • Problem-solving ability and a professional attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work
  • Professional, organised, and able to work effectively within a team environment
