We are recruiting experienced HGV Technicians to join a busy vehicle maintenance site in Corby, supporting the servicing and repair of a large commercial fleet. This is a hands-on role suited to technicians who are confident carrying out diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance to a high standard.
The Role:
- Diagnose faults using manufacturer-specific diagnostic tools, including intermittent issues
- Carry out servicing, repairs, and maintenance across the HGV fleet
- Complete major mechanical repairs such as engine, gearbox, and drivetrain work
- Perform routine preventative maintenance inspections in line with DVSA standards
- Accurately complete job cards, inspection sheets, and service documentation
- Conduct MOT inspections and quality checks where required
- Support apprentices and technicians through on-the-job guidance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to a professional standard
Experience & Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds qualification in HGV Maintenance
- Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience maintaining and repairing HGVs
- Confident using Jaltest or manufacturer diagnostic systems
- Strong understanding of DVSA standards and compliance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable:
- Main dealer experience
- Car transporter experience
- LGV C+E licence (training may be available for the right candidate)
