We are currently recruiting for an experienced MOT Inspector to join a busy automotive operation in Grimsby. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established workshop environment, working as part of a skilled mechanical team.
The Role
- Carry out MOT tests in line with current DVSA regulations
- Conduct road tests and ramp inspections where required
- Ensure all vehicles are prepared to a high standard for customer delivery
- Accurately complete all job cards and associated documentation
- Support general workshop duties as required
- Work closely with the wider team to meet daily targets and deadlines
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified MOT Tester (essential)
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic role
- Full UK Driving Licence (no more than 6 points for minor offences)
- Strong diagnostic ability with good attention to detail
- Able to work independently and make decisions when required
- Team player, willing to support and share knowledge with junior technicians
- Positive attitude with a high standard of workmanship
