We are currently recruiting for Drivers to join a busy automotive operation in Stafford. This is a varied driving role combining compound driving duties with off-site vehicle movements between locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for moving vehicles safely around site, as well as delivering vehicles to other locations with the support of a runner returning them back to site following delivery.
The Role:
- Moving vehicles safely around a large automotive site
- Parking vehicles within compounds, workshops, and designated bays
- Delivering vehicles between sites as required
- Carrying out basic vehicle checks prior to movement
- Inspecting vehicles for any visible damage before and after movements
- Handling a variety of vehicle types and transmissions, including manual and automatic vehicles
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Following all site health & safety procedures at all times
The Person:
- Full UK Driving Licence held for a minimum of 2 years
- No more than 6 points for minor offences
- Confident driving a range of vehicles
- Experience driving both manual and automatic vehicles
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently
- Previous driving or compound experience is desirable
