We are currently recruiting for an experienced PDI Technician to join a busy automotive workshop in Rochester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with vehicle inspection and preparation experience who takes pride in ensuring vehicles are safe, presentable and ready for use.
The Role:
As a PDI Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out pre-delivery inspections on new vehicles in line with required inspection schedules.
- Completing safety checks, fluid level checks and bodywork inspections across a range of vehicles.
- Identifying, diagnosing and reporting vehicle defects or issues requiring attention.
- Ensuring inspection records and repair documentation are completed accurately.
- Working closely with the wider workshop team to meet deadlines and maintain productivity.
- Ensuring vehicles meet the required quality and safety standards before release.
The Person:
- Previous experience in a PDI Technician or similar vehicle inspection role is essential.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Good understanding of vehicle safety checks, fluid levels and bodywork inspections.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to getting the job right first time.
- Able to work accurately to deadlines and productivity targets.
- Positive, flexible attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with specific vehicle brands is advantageous, although training may be provided.
