We are currently recruiting for experienced MET Technicians to join a busy automotive preparation centre in Peterborough. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced operation and work alongside an experienced bodyshop team carrying out strip and refit duties across a wide range of vehicles.
We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently within a busy workshop environment.
The Role:
- Removing and refitting body panels and trim components in preparation for repair and paint.
- Stripping and refitting new parts and components.
- Ensuring vehicles are reassembled to manufacturer standards.
- Working efficiently to achieve productivity and quality targets.
- Maintaining tools and equipment in good working order.
- Supporting colleagues and working collaboratively within the bodyshop team.
- Ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality standards.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
The Person:
- Previous experience working as an MET Technician, Strip Fitter, or similar automotive bodyshop role.
- Industry qualifications are advantageous, although candidates with a minimum of two years' relevant experience will also be considered.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong time management, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Reliable, organised, and professional approach to work.
- Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences.
