  • Monitoring performance, identifying issues and taking action to resolve them.
  • Working alongside the team operationally when required, particularly during busy periods.
  • Ensuring high standards of health and safety, housekeeping and operational compliance.
  • Using company systems to manage vehicle movements, workloads and records.
  • Producing reports and using operational data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Supporting training and development within the team.
  • Providing cover for the Compound Supervisor when required.
  • Supporting wider compound activities including vehicle inspections, marshalling, collection preparation, quality checks and damage reporting.

The Person:

  • Previous experience leading or supervising a team within a logistics, automotive, warehouse, fleet or compound environment is essential.
  • Strong people management skills, with the ability to motivate and get the best from a team.
  • Confident, approachable and able to build positive working relationships.
  • A hands-on approach and willingness to get involved operationally.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to make decisions and take ownership.
  • Organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
  • Proactive and able to identify opportunities to improve processes and ways of working.
  • Comfortable using business systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

What We Offer:

  • Company pension.
  • Onsite parking.
  • Support from Igloo's recruitment and payroll teams.
  • Long-term opportunity with a leading automotive operation.
  • Opportunity to develop and progress within the business.
