We are currently recruiting for a Despatch Vehicle Inspector to join a busy automotive operation in Thurleigh.
Working as part of an experienced quality control team, you will be responsible for inspecting vehicles as they progress through a busy production and despatch process, ensuring they meet the required standards before leaving site.
The Role:
As a Despatch Vehicle Inspector, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out quality checks on vehicles prior to despatch.
- Inspecting vehicle condition and presentation, with a strong focus on attention to detail.
- Assessing vehicles against the required quality and valet standards. Full training will be provided on the relevant standards.
- Identifying any issues or areas that require further attention before the vehicle is despatched.
- Using handheld devices and site systems to record inspection results and maintain accurate vehicle records.
- Working efficiently to meet deadlines within a busy, fast-paced production environment.
- Working independently while also supporting the wider quality control team.
- Developing knowledge of different vehicle makes and models, with training provided.
- Supporting the wider operation and sharing knowledge and expertise where required.
The Person:
- Previous experience in a vehicle inspection, workshop quality control, or similar automotive role is desirable.
- Experience carrying out quality checks or inspections is advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong eye for vehicle presentation and condition.
- Good knowledge of vehicle makes and models.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Passion for the automotive industry and pride in maintaining high standards of work.
