We’re looking for a Publishing Manager to join our Licensing team at Igloo Books. This is a key operational role ensuring projects run smoothly and efficiently across the team, supporting the Head of Publishing to deliver a best-in-class list of licensed titles.
You’ll play a central part in managing schedules, workflows and communication, keeping everyone aligned from concept through to print. As we expand our partnerships and develop new licensed content, you’ll manage new licensed projects yourself with the support of our team. Your excellent attention to detail, calmness under pressure, and ability to join the dots will be essential to our continued growth.
Igloo’s publishing leads the way in producing books, craft and play products across multiple series and ranges. We service a global customer base with teams in the US, Germany and Australia as well as in the UK.
About The Role
As Publishing Manager, you’ll take ownership of the editorial operations across the licensed list, working closely with the Head of Brand Licensed Publishing and Managing Designer to keep the engine running. This role is a blend of editorial project management and cross-team coordination. You’ll be across everything from critical paths to brand approvals, ensuring deadlines are met, resources are aligned, and quality remains consistently high.
You’ll also be instrumental in supporting the onboarding of new licenses, helping to set up new workflows and liaising with partners as we evolve the list.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day editorial operations of the licensed list, keeping all projects on track and on time
- Own and manage project schedules, tracking key milestones and approvals across multiple stakeholders
- Act as the key point of contact between editorial, design, sales, production and licensors – ensuring effective, timely communication
- Support the Head of Publishing in coordinating resources and delivering against business objectives
- Champion and uphold editorial quality and brand alignment across the full range of titles
- Help establish and embed workflows for new licenses, supporting the team through growth and change
- Provide editorial input (editing, proofreading) as needed across the list
