Reporting to: Senior National Account Manager
Location: Cottage Farm, Mears Ashby Road, Sywell, Northamptonshire, NN6 0BJ
Working pattern: Hybrid - minimum of three days per week in the office; up to two days per week working from home
General Summary
The National Account Executive supports the growth and development of designated UK retail accounts across books, stationery and toys. Working closely with the Senior National Account Manager, the role focuses on achieving targets and KPIs, building strong customer relationships, identifying commercial opportunities through sales analysis, presenting new products and delivering first-class customer service.
This is an ideal junior sales opportunity for a commercially minded, organised and proactive individual. The successful candidate will be confident managing multiple priorities, interpreting data and communicating with customers and internal teams, with strong problem-solving skills and essential competency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of designated accounts working towards targets and KPIs
- Support the Senior National Account Manager to identify and create opportunities for leading UK accounts
- Complete all administrative and other associated tasks for assigned accounts and supporting accounts
- Account development through relationships and retailer opportunities
- Develop a strong understanding of the book, stationery and toy industry to support future growth
- Analysis of retailer sales data to identify additional opportunities and initiatives
- Present new products and run strategy meetings with designated customers
- Deliver first class customer service to each account
- Develop strong working relationships and communication with all internal departments
Qualifications and Experience
- No sales experience necessary, however working within a sales-based environment would be an advantage
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interpret and analyse data
- Problem solving and trouble-shooting skills
- Ability to work autonomously and within team
- Excel and PowerPoint competency is essential
