General Summary
As publishing manager, you will play a pivotal role in the growth of our SparkPool publishing programme, overseeing publishing workflows, ensuring high-quality publications, and working closely with editors, designers, sales, production and external partners. You’ll help drive the creative direction of our adult publishing list, ensuring that every book meets the highest standards and excites our readers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of designers and editors to develop and deliver a profitable publishing programme.
- Identify and capitalise on market opportunities, including pursuing new routes to market.
- Lead efforts to identify new product categories, formats, and ideas through robust market research and audience analysis.
- Drive the development of innovative publishing solutions that enhance competitive edge.
- Oversee workflows and resources to maintain smooth project execution.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to align with company goals and strategy.
- Mentor and develop the SparkPool team, fostering growth and innovation.
- Ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
