THE ROLE: At IGEL, we know that the key to growth is in a high-performing sales team. That’s why we’re seeking a qualified Sales Development Representative (SDR) for our team in Reading to help turn leads into qualified opportunities.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Develop opportunities from prospecting and marketing generated leads.
- Follow-up on inbound marketing leads and identify qualified opportunities providing appropriate levels of information at the right time for interested prospects.
- Interact with prospects and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding new potential business opportunities in the market.
- Promote and market IGEL’s business through extensive and persistent cold calling, emails, and other communication tools to prospective clients.
- Create target prospects lists, penetrate key accounts, identify, and contact key players.
- Profile strategic accounts, researching and obtaining business requirements and presenting solutions to start the sales cycle.
- Set up meetings and/or calls between (prospective) customers and our sales executives.
- Diligently update data into the CRM, stay on top of your leads, follow-up and report.
Experience and Qualifications
- 1-2 years of proven work experience in a similar role, business development or sales is of advantage.
- Career changers are also welcome to apply.
- Experience in the Virtualization (VDI) industry would be a strong plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident, articulate, and professional speaking abilities; empathic listener and persuasive speaker.
- Must be a self-starter, curious, analytical, detail-oriented, resilient, a hunting character, and have the proven ability to perform in a fast-moving environment with minimal supervision.
- Proven creative problem-solving approach and a strong desire and ability to move up within a sales organization.
- Must live and breathe start-ups with broad responsibilities, crazy busy, embrace our team spirit, lots of responsibility and lots of fun.
- Excellent English language skills, both in written and verbal form, with a secondary language such as Dutch, French, Swedish, Norwegian, Spanish being an excellent advantage.
