We’re looking for an Insight Consultant who will play a central role in designing and delivering ad hoc shopper and consumer research projects that help IGD clients to make more informed business decisions and deliver future growth.
This role is part of our wider insight and consulting team, driving insights and predictions for commercial success with knowledge of global food and consumer goods retailing. From our unparalleled industry relationships and access, you’ll be able to build your network with FMCG businesses, seeing and understanding what affects them. The role will also work alongside our wider shopper and retail, supply chain and global thought-leaders within the wider team, with the opportunity to collaborate across projects.
What you’ll do:
- Identify and co-create shopper and consumer research projects that meet a specific client need or answer an identified business challenge.
- Deliver projects to a high quality through good programme management, stakeholder management and experience in shopper research and insight.
- Support ongoing product innovation by identifying ways to improve not just what but how we conduct our research.
- Seek client feedback on proposals and deliveries to ensure our offer is as relevant as possible and always evolving.
- Work with nominated research agency partners ensuring methodologies used follow industry best practice.
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum of 4 years experience.
- Understanding of shopper insight methodologies and application, and proven personal technical ability and experience across innovative quant & qual shopper research.
- Commercial acumen, with the ability to identify and deliver commercial opportunities within the ad hoc research/ consultancy space.
- Excellent project management skills, including ability to manage external agency partners and freelance resource.
- Credible presenter with experience of presenting to different audiences (in scale and seniority).
- Collaborative approach to work and problem solving with a strong client focus.
- Experience of, and passion for, the consumer goods industry.
