North Star Network is a media group operating in the international gaming and sports industry. To support our team's growth and better serve the site's development, we are currently recruiting writers specializing in MMA. Writers will be asked to primarily produce news and analysis articles on the two flagship organizations: the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and the Professional Fighters League (PFL). They will also be asked to occasionally write articles on the four main international professional boxing federations (WBA, WBO, WBC, and IBF).
More specifically, you:
- Grow the audience for the Combat Sports category on We Sport.
- Deliver rich and accurate content on combat sports while respecting North Star's content standards and deadlines.
- Conduct relevant and effective press monitoring to produce rich and varied content.
- Conduct interviews and features on MMA and Boxing.
- Contribute ideas on topics and content formats.
- Publish articles on WordPress.
Your profile:
- You have an excellent general knowledge of MMA, particularly the UFC and PFL.
- You also follow the latest news surrounding professional English boxing.
- Impeccable written French in order to write coherent articles without spelling mistakes, while having writing that is catchy enough to captivate readers.
- You produce quality content: choice and relevance of topics, relevant and catchy titles to attract new visitors, coherent structure, basic SEO knowledge (keywords, linking/internal meshing, alt tag, meta description, choice of images).
- You have a good level of English, useful for consulting important foreign sites in the field.
- You have initial experience in producing online content for high-traffic websites.
- Be well-organized, autonomous, available, responsive, and flexible to adapt to current events and be ready to write at least ten articles per week while respecting deadlines.
- A presence on certain weekends is essential to ensure competition coverage.
Status: Freelance status, billed on a monthly basis. Requires registration as a self-employed person.
