Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Network Optimization: Design and optimize distribution and transport frameworks to maximize fleet utilization and reduce operational spend.
- Data Modelling: Develop robust routing and scheduling models to continuously improve collection and delivery efficiencies.
- Strategic Analysis: Analyze volume trends, asset capacity, and regional service performance to directly support senior planning decisions.
- Continuous Improvement: Track operational KPIs, identify network bottlenecks, and lead the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with site operations, fleet transport, and commercial teams to ensure total strategy alignment.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Produce high-level, detailed reporting, volume forecasts, and actionable performance insights.
- Contingency Planning: Build and support peak-period planning frameworks and operational contingency strategies.
What You Will Bring
- Logistics Expertise: Proven track record within logistics operations, tactical transport planning, or supply chain network design.
- Analytical Mindset: Exceptional data manipulation skills with a demonstrated ability to turn complex metrics into strategic operational decisions.
- Technical Skillset: Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency. Hands-on experience with routing software, transport data tools, or supply chain modeling software is highly desirable.
- Operational Knowledge: A deep understanding of transport logistics, including multi-drop routing dynamics, fleet utilization, and capacity constraints.
