Role Overview

Kinaxia Logistics is looking for an experienced and motivated Nights Warehouse Supervisor to lead, manage, and oversee shift operations at our impressive 100,000 sq. ft. Sunderland facility (SR3 3XG). Operating across a large-scale, high-volume logistics hub, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless depot workflows, maintaining strict safety and compliance standards, and driving high team productivity throughout the night shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shift Leadership: Supervise and deploy warehouse staff across the 100,000 sq. ft. operation to maximize efficiency and meet nightly targets.
  • Goods In/Out Management: Oversee high-volume loading, unloading, sorting, and staging of freight to ensure timely departures and deliveries.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict Health & Safety (H&S) protocols, conduct pre-shift briefings, and maintain a secure working environment across the entire footprint.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track shift KPIs, address operational bottlenecks, and support staff training and onboarding.
  • Inventory Control: Ensure accurate stock movement, precise scanning, and minimize damage or discrepancies in storage.
  • Communication: Hand over detailed shift logs to incoming morning management and report any vehicle, stock, or staffing issues promptly.

Requirements & Skills

  • Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or team lead role within a medium-to-large distribution facility.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, time-critical operational environment.
  • Strong track record of supervising night-shift operations and working unsociable hours.
  • Solid understanding of warehouse health & safety, manual handling regulations, and site compliance.
  • Effective communication, conflict-resolution, and team leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office.
  • Counterbalance or Reach Forklift Truck (FLT) licences (desirable).
