As a key member of our commercial team, you will:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
- Develop and manage an active sales pipeline—identifying, progressing, and securing new business opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with product and pricing teams to create competitive value propositions.
- Independently manage customer appointments and on-site visits.
- Maintain all appointments and opportunities in the CRM system, ensuring high data quality and strict adherence to sales KPIs.
- Prepare and share detailed customer visit reports internally.
- Follow customer onboarding processes and support the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure operational excellence.
- Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder networks.
- Attend UK sales meetings and other internal company meetings as required.
- Participate in weekly strategy meetings with the Commercial Manager (via Teams or face-to-face).
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a commercial sales role.
- Strong commercial awareness of customers and industries within Air & Ocean Freight.
- Proven experience in Air & Ocean sales and operations.
- The ability to develop value-adding, tailored customer solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management capabilities.
- A highly organised, self-motivated, and target-driven mindset.
- A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience preparing professional client proposals and quotations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A valid UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK.
