IGA Talent Solutions is partnered with the Global Tax team of a large international listed company to bring a newly-created opportunity to the market. This is not a BAU hire. It requires a keen focus and interest in ownership of change projects and process transformation within Indirect Tax, across various jurisdictions. The business has recently implemented a new ERP system globally and is now focused on standardising indirect tax processes across EMEA regions, starting from the UK.
We are looking for somebody who combines:
- Experience driving tax-related transformation ERP/process improvement and operational change.
Key change/transformation aspects of the role:
- Improving and standardising VAT processes across jurisdictions.
- Partnering with IT teams.
- Driving automation and tooling improvements.
- Supporting AI adoption/usage within the tax function.
Alongside the transformation agenda, the role also covers:
- UK VAT activity oversight across Irish, French, German, Swiss VAT obligations.
- Joint operations/project work governance and HMRC interaction.
This is a strong fit for somebody who enjoys influencing change, and is interested in the systems/process side of indirect tax as much as the technical work itself.
Candidate profile:
- Strong UK and European VAT / Indirect Tax background.
- Large corporation in-house tax experience with ownership of change delivery.
- Big 4 / Top 10 tax consulting experience (with tax transformation delivery).
- Tax transformation/process improvement experience.
- Comfortable working with IT stakeholders.
- Interest in technology, automation and AI within tax.
- Problem solver who takes satisfaction from devising and delivering end-to-end change.
