IGA are working with a long-standing client to hire a senior member into their high-growth Investment Advisory practice. This is a rare opportunity to shape the strategic direction of a dynamic, forward-thinking consultancy and expand your impact across pensions and broader corporate advisory services.
Would you be open to exploring a senior leadership opportunity with a firm delivering market-leading, independent consulting services across pensions, insurance, and wealth? Are you looking for something beyond the typical partner track — a role where you can lead, grow, and shape a practice while branching into areas across the firm.
If that’s piqued your interest, here’s more:
Our client is one of the UK’s most respected investment consultancies — known for disrupting the traditional consulting model through innovation, agility, and a collaborative, non-hierarchical culture. They support a wide range of clients, including corporate DB/DC pension schemes, insurers, wealth managers, and asset owners, blending technical excellence with commercial focus.
The Investment Advisory team has been a major growth engine for the firm and is now entering an exciting phase of strategic expansion. As part of this growth, they are looking for a senior-level hire to join the leadership group — someone who not only excels in traditional investment consulting but also wants to broaden their remit and drive innovation across adjacent business areas.
In this role, you will:
- Take on lead relationships with a portfolio of strategic clients across pensions and institutional investment
- Contribute to firm-wide thinking in areas like capital markets, ESG policy, and long-term investment trends
- Help shape the future direction of the practice, including developing new service lines and internal capabilities
- Work closely with colleagues across Corporate Finance, Valuations, Stewardship and M&A to deliver integrated client solutions
- Have real influence on the firm’s culture, strategy, and growth — with the freedom to align your role to your personal interests and strengths
What we’re looking for:
- A senior investment consulting professional (likely with 8+ years\’ experience) with a strong track record advising DB pension schemes and institutional clients
- Experience leading client relationships and managing teams
- Experience regarding Fiduciary Management Oversight
- A commercial and strategic thinker, who wants to do more than “business as usual” consulting
- Strong communication and leadership skills, and a collaborative approach
- FIA/FFA, CFA or equivalent qualification preferred
What makes this unique:
- The chance to step into a senior leadership role without rigid partner bottlenecks
- A flat, agile structure where innovation is encouraged and rewarded
- A business that genuinely invests in people, with a clear commitment to diversity of thought and long-term career development
