This is an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio, contribute to strategic decision-making, and develop leadership capability in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Reserving Manager, you\’ll provide high-quality actuarial input across a range of products and portfolios. You’ll play a key role in quarterly reserving, business planning, and technical analysis—while also mentoring junior team members and supporting continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver quarterly reserving assessments and support portfolio deep dives across international business units.
  • Perform technical provision forecasts, reserve margin calculations, and reserve uncertainty assessments.
  • Contribute to planning and profitability analysis, including support for commutations.
  • Manage and review actuarial processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Mentor and develop student actuaries and potentially supervise a small team.
  • Help drive improvements in reserving tools, models, and workflows.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across underwriting, finance, and risk.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry trends to enhance the value of reserving work.

About You

You\’re a part-qualified or qualified actuary with strong general insurance reserving experience—ideally in a global or multinational setting. You\’re a confident communicator, analytically curious, and comfortable working in fast-paced, agile environments.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong background in GI reserving and actuarial modelling
  • Stakeholder engagement and business partnering skills
  • Proven ability to interpret and present numerical data effectively
  • Skilled in Excel and actuarial modelling tools
  • Comfortable with process improvement and challenging the status quo
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Experience coaching or mentoring junior colleagues

Why Apply?

  • Exposure to a wide range of products and international markets
  • Opportunity to step into leadership with mentoring and supervisory responsibilities
  • Hybrid working and a culture that supports continuous learning and innovation
  • Work within a well-established actuarial function with room to grow and influence
