MD at IGA Talent – Executive Search in Global Insurance, Pensions and Investment

IGA Talent Solutions is exclusively supporting one of the UK’s largest and fastest-growing advisory firms (38% YoY growth over the past five years) in the search for a Senior Defined Contribution (DC) Investment Partner. The business provides a broad range of advisory services across the insurance, pensions, and wider financial services sectors.

Known for its willingness to innovate and challenge established thinking, our client has a strong record of entering new markets and scaling business units around ambitious, entrepreneurial leaders.

We are seeking an individual with a proven track record of advising DC pension schemes—whether single-trust arrangements or master trusts—to lead the commercial development of the UK DC investment offering. The successful candidate will join an established team with an existing revenue base and a significant network of more than 1,000 clients.

The team has built solid momentum, and we are now looking to appoint a senior leader to help drive the next phase of growth. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading business development, brand activity, and broader market engagement, drawing on your personal network
• Acting as a senior representative of the DC investment proposition both internally and externally
• Building strong internal relationships with stakeholders and client leads to identify opportunities for collaboration
• Supporting innovation and original thinking in the DC market, identifying new commercial opportunities and developing clear plans to bring them to life
• Providing direct investment advice to a portfolio of clients—covering strategy, portfolio design, manager selection, implementation, and governance
• Overseeing and leading the team, setting culture, strategy, and commercial direction

This role may suit someone in a larger firm who is ready to step into a more visible leadership position but lacks a clear progression path, or an experienced DC investment leader seeking a new challenge and the opportunity to shape and grow a business.

The role is national, with hybrid working options and offices in all major cities.
