IGA Talent Solutions is looking to speak with senior Pricing Actuaries with strong London Market / Lloyd’s experience. This role sits within a fairly large actuarial team but, more importantly, it offers the opportunity to step into a "No.2 position" within a specialist team, helping shape and build out a growing Pricing capability over the next few years.
It’s a good fit for someone who enjoys the technical side, but is interested in bigger-picture macro aspects: how pricing actually works and impacts across a business, how overall capabilities can be transformed, the direction of travel in the insurance market, and how they can have a bit more influence in these changes.
- Pricing & Underwriting Transformation
- Leading sizeable pricing / underwriting change programmes across London Market and Specialty lines
- Capability reviews looking end-to-end at how pricing functions are set up (models, governance, data, tech deployment, skills, people)
- Advising on pricing approach, strategy, operating model design, technical model design, segmentation, and overall risk selection
- Supporting technology platform / tooling changes
- Building out portfolio steering frameworks and helping improve underwriting performance
- Taking strategy and turning it into something that actually works in practice
- Working closely with senior stakeholders on pricing strategy and direction
- Getting involved in wider data / analytics / decision-making initiatives
- Portfolio reviews and general performance improvement work
- Occasionally involvement in special projects, exploring new products, emerging risks, and other non‑BAU pieces
- Opportunity to shape, budget, resource and lead projects yourself, not just deliver against them
You’d be operating across a broad mix of Lloyd’s / London Market and Specialty business, so you naturally get exposure to different underwriting models, platforms, and ways of doing things. The role has great visibility internally: you’ll have influence on direction, growing the team, and developing people as the capability scales.
The successful candidate will be a qualified actuary with strong previous experience who enjoys the faster pace of a project/programme environment, enjoys problem solving, and wants to influence change.
