IGA is partnered with one of our long-standing clients, a UK-based investment advisory and management firm - to grow their specialist LDI Team. We’re looking for an ambitious, technically strong investment professional who’s ready to take the next step in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
Do you have experience in LDI, fixed income, or derivatives? Are you looking for a role that offers genuine development, responsibility, and the chance to make a tangible impact? If so, this could be your next move.
The Firm
Our client is a purpose-driven investment and advisory business supporting over 350 institutional clients and managing more than £50bn in assets. They are widely respected for their expertise in pensions, risk, and sustainability — and have a proven track record of delivering better financial outcomes for savers and long-term asset owners.
The LDI team plays a central role in their offering — building and managing complex hedging and fixed income strategies that help pension schemes manage inflation and interest rate risk. The team is collaborative, technical, and focused on delivering excellence in both strategy and execution.
In this role, you will:
- Assist in the design and monitoring of interest rate and inflation hedging strategies (e.g., swaps, repos, options, gilts)
- Support the management of index-tracking fixed income portfolios
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of internal models and tools for risk management and asset-liability analysis
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across trading, operations, legal, and risk to ensure seamless execution
- Provide support on performance analysis, trade execution, and ongoing portfolio monitoring
- Act as a reviewer for technical outputs and contribute to continuous improvement across the LDI platform
Who we’re looking for:
- You likely have 3–6 years of experience in LDI, fixed income, investment risk, or a closely related area
- A good understanding of interest rate and inflation hedging tools — including derivatives and physical assets
- Comfortable working with data, models, spreadsheets, and performance metrics
- A proactive, collaborative mindset — someone who enjoys learning and problem-solving
- Proficiency in Excel is expected; coding skills (Python, VBA) are a plus
Why this stands out:
- Trusted, repeat client: This is a firm we know well and have placed with successfully — they value their people and offer real development
- Stretch and exposure: You’ll work on complex, high-impact strategies in an environment that values quality and innovation
- Supportive team: A flat structure where your input is valued and your growth is actively supported
- Purpose-led: Be part of a mission-driven firm delivering long-term value for clients and society
If this sounds like a fit, reach out to Oliver Clark for a confidential conversation — either via LinkedIn or at oclark@igatalent.com. We look forward to hearing from you.
