Head of Insurance Solutions & Securitisation
Location: London (with international travel)
We are working with a private markets advisory business looking to build out its insurance-led capital and credit solutions capability through the appointment of a Head of Insurance Solutions & Securitisation.
This is a senior, externally facing role focused on the structuring, origination and execution of non-payment insurance solutions across private credit and related asset classes.
The role sits between insurance, structured finance and private markets, with a clear mandate to develop relationships across banks, insurers and asset managers, using insurance capital as a tool for risk transfer and capital optimisation.
The role
- Lead the origination and structuring of non-payment insurance solutions for private credit, fund finance and related transactions
- Work with lenders, asset managers and sponsors to integrate insurance into financing structures as a form of credit risk mitigation and capital efficiency
- Structure and place insurance-backed credit risk transfer transactions, including both portfolio and single asset solutions
- Support clients in using insurance to manage exposures, optimise balance sheets and enhance lending capacity
- Develop relationships with insurance markets, including underwriters and reinsurers, to source capacity across transactions
- Advise on and execute transactions involving synthetic and traditional securitisation structures, including significant risk transfer solutions
- Work closely with internal distribution and advisory teams to support client coverage and origination activity
- Contribute to the development of the firm’s broader insurance and structured capital offering
The profile
- Significant experience in credit risk transfer, structured finance or insurance solutions, ideally within a broker, bank or advisory platform
- Strong understanding of non-payment insurance, trade credit insurance or related credit risk mitigation products
- Experience structuring and executing transactions involving securitisation or insurance-backed risk transfer
- Familiarity with the use of insurance as a tool for transferring credit risk and supporting capital efficiency for lenders
- Track record of working with insurers and financial institutions on complex, cross-border transactions
- Commercial mindset, with the ability to originate opportunities and build a pipeline of client activity
- Strong technical grounding combined with the ability to engage clients in a clear and practical way
This role will suit someone who has built their career within credit risk transfer or insurance-linked structured solutions and is looking to step into a broader origination and platform-building role.
