We are currently working with a leading professional services organisation seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join its growing actuarial team. The role has a strong focus on actuarial financial reporting and valuations, alongside opportunities to support clients with actuarial transformation and modernisation initiatives.

THE ROLE

Responsibilities will include:

• Supporting actuarial financial reporting engagements for life insurance clients

• Reviewing and challenging actuarial assumptions, methodologies and models used in financial reporting

• Assessing the appropriateness of insurance liabilities, best estimate assumptions and risk adjustment methodologies

• Reviewing solvency, capital and embedded value calculations where relevant

• Supporting teams with complex actuarial and insurance accounting matters

• Contributing to engagement planning, risk assessments and technical conclusions

• Supporting actuarial transformation and modernisation programmes

• Translating business requirements into practical actuarial and transformation solutions

• Managing project workstreams and contributing to successful delivery

Requirements

We are looking for a part-qualified actuarial student who is actively progressing through their professional examinations and has:

• 2–4 years’ experience in Life Insurance Actuarial

• Experience gained within an actuarial consultancy, particularly with exposure to financial reporting engagements, or within the financial reporting, valuation or reporting functions of a life insurer

• A good understanding of life insurance actuarial methodologies and financial reporting

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• A genuine interest in technology, innovation and the modernisation of actuarial processes

Previous actuarial transformation experience is not essential. The key requirement is a strong foundation in life insurance financial reporting, valuation or related actuarial work, combined with an interest in how technology and modern approaches can improve actuarial processes.

WHY CONSIDER THIS OPPORTUNITY?
