IGA Talent Solutions is seeking to engage with Actuaries with strong Pricing experience across Commercial Lines or London Market business. This position sits within a large actuarial team and has arisen off the back of continued growth and internal progression. The role offers a strong core focus on Pricing, alongside regular exposure to a broader mix of actuarial and business-focused workstreams. It is well suited to someone looking to build on their technical foundations while developing a more commercial and well-rounded profile.

Key aspects:

  • End-to-end pricing model development and review (GLMs and more advanced techniques)
  • Portfolio optimisation and rate change strategy, supporting profitable growth decisions
  • Pricing and underwriting reviews, providing insight into methodologies and performance
  • Supporting delegated authority / MGA pricing oversight and governance
  • Development of pricing tools, dashboards, and analytical capability
  • Involvement in pricing enhancement and system development initiatives
  • Reserving deep dives and claims trend analysis to support business insight
  • Capital and profitability analysis, linking pricing decisions to financial outcomes
  • Model validation and governance work across pricing and risk frameworks
  • Supporting broader change initiatives across data, systems, and processes
  • Exposure to portfolio reviews and strategic business assessments
  • Involvement in “special projects” such as new product development, market entry analysis, or emerging risk assessments (e.g. climate, cyber)

You will work across a broad mix of business including UK Commercial and Retail portfolios, as well as Lloyd’s / London Market and Specialty lines, gaining exposure to different underwriting models and approaches to pricing and performance. For an actuary at this stage of their career, this role offers the opportunity to broaden beyond core pricing into more commercially-focused work, developing stronger judgement and business understanding alongside technical expertise.
