Your Team
IG Prime is the institutional division of IG Group, serving hedge funds, family offices, retail brokers, white‑label platforms and introducing brokers across the UK, Europe, APAC and LATAM. Our London team sits at the heart of this business and is the engine behind our global client relationships and revenue growth. This role is an opportunity to join an established, high‑performing team at the centre of our prime brokerage operation — working alongside experienced salespeople and getting hands‑on exposure to the full institutional sales cycle from day one.
Your Role in the Team's Success
Our team is responsible for driving revenues and growing IG Prime's market share across multiple geographies. As a junior member of the London sales team, you will support senior salespeople across business development, client management and day‑to‑day commercial activity — building the knowledge, relationships and skills needed to progress into a fully independent sales role.
What You'll Do
- Build a thorough understanding of IG Prime's full product suite, including CFDs, spread betting, DMA execution, financing and white‑label solutions
- Support senior team members in identifying, approaching and developing new client prospects across our core verticals — brokers, hedge funds, family offices and banks
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of client pitches, proposals and commercial term sheets
- Help manage existing client relationships, ensuring a consistently high standard of service and responsiveness
- Represent IG Prime at industry events, conferences and networking opportunities across the UK and Europe
- Work closely with internal teams — including operations, risk, compliance and technology — to support smooth client onboarding and ongoing servicing
- Contribute to pipeline reporting, CRM management and the production of sales materials and market intelligence
- Support the ongoing development of sales processes and best practices within the team
What You'll Need For This Role
- 1–2 years' experience in an institutional financial services role – prime brokerage, capital markets, sales support or a related function preferred
- A genuine interest in financial markets and a clear ambition to build a career in institutional sales
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to engage professionally with clients and internal stakeholders
- An ability to grasp and articulate complex financial products and solutions clearly
- A proactive, self‑starter attitude – comfortable taking initiative and working in a fast‑paced, commercially driven environment
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Familiarity with CFDs, futures or prime brokerage products is advantageous but not essential
- An existing network within the UK or European institutional financial community is a plus
