We’re looking for a Product Designer to architect a completely new trading experience for the APAC region. This role is critical to the success of our team, and you’ll be an equal partner to Product and Engineering in shaping this product and bringing it to market.

The Team: The Boost APAC team is tasked with defining a product that will bring a new generation of traders to IG’s platform. The team is well-funded and is seen as mission-critical to IG’s success in the APAC region.
Your role in the Team: The Product Designer in this team will be an equal partner to Product and Engineering in shaping and bringing to market a coherent, differentiated trading platform. They are the expert in user experience and will be the architect of a delightful, differentiated product.
What you’ll do:
- An expert in user experience: This person will, more than any other, be responsible for what a customer sees and feels when they use our product. We’re looking for someone who takes that responsibility seriously and is invested in delivering world-class experiences.
- Deeply interested in the craft of product building: Building a successful product is a multi-disciplinary effort incorporating design, engineering, positioning, pricing, marketing, and much more. We’d like you to have an opinion on all of these things, not just on the design of the product.
- An appreciation for the importance of velocity: While we take the craft of product building seriously, it must be paired with an appreciation for the importance of speed. Making meaningful progress week-over-week is core value of our team.
- Able to productively disagree: The most successful teams are the ones where all team members bring their unique experiences and perspectives to the table, debate and move on. We’re looking for someone that is comfortable expressing an opinion, and sometimes being disagreed with.
What you’ll need for this role:
- You are a senior Designer with multiple years owning and leading complex products.
- You have experience working closely with Product and Engineering, and advocating for user experience in that setting.
- You have experience running a rigorous research process that results in customer insights.
- You can operate at both the strategic level and the micro, detailed level of product design.
- You are invested in the craft of product design and are driven to continuously improve.
- You have designed mobile apps.
- Preferably, you have fintech experience.
- Preferably, you have built zero-to-one products.
